Horses and Fables

In a textured abstract landscape, you find a white winged horse.

Story: Watch me here in the moonlight, against a landscape where you shouldn't be, which belongs to me. I shall allow you to remain, and I shall allow you to look, but only if you are a quiet believer.

You see, horses like me are said to be the stuff of fables, a fabrication, if you will, imagined and not real. If you speak of our encounter, you will not be believed, for those you would wish to tell would scoff at the mere idea of a horse with wings, as if the fact that you and not they claim to bear witness be proof enough that you spout only falsehood. Say nothing, and you may be my rider. You may soar with me through this beautiful clear sky. Climb on to my back and hold on to my mane, I dare you! Let the freedom of flight course through your veins as it does mine and you will know the truth of me and require no affirmation. But first, trust yourself, just a little. Because that is the first step.

Believe your own senses, trust your own instincts, run your own tests, and find your own truth. Defend that against your harshest critics, and prevail.
