Story: At first glance, this is a beautiful English landscape. Look again, and you might notice one child climbing over a stile in the background whilst another jumps over the stream. Look closer still, and you will make out the lines of verse on the fence, in the stream, in the grass and amongst the flowers.

In childhood, small,
With hearts of thunder,
The world was ours
And full of wonder.

This is a painting about growing up in the English countryside, where the fields go on forever and are yours to explore, with no limits on your adventures, fuelled only by your imagination and this beautiful land.
