Like Wild Flowers

A woman in a floor-length gold dress walks through a garden.

Story: I came out here just for a breath of fresh air, and I noticed them, tiny little things bringing a touch of bright colour to the garden with their velvety red petals. I didn't plant them, but they looked as if they were always meant to be here, even though they didn't form part of any grand design. And they made me think of random acts of kindness and presents given for no reason, of making friends with a stranger and falling in love with a friend. They made me think of the best things in life, those things that are beautiful and come out of nowhere, unplanned and unexpected, like wild flowers.
