An Impression of Piccadilly Circus

A memory of London's Piccadilly Circus, painted in acrylic.

Story: I remember the first time I saw Piccadilly Circus. I was small and looking up, always looking up, my hand held tightly. Can't have you getting lost here. The crush of people, all of them rushing, horns honking, a cab, black, and then bright red, a double-decker bus, and those shimmering flashing billboards, lights and sounds, lights and sounds, I was bombarded. We navigated the crowd, legs and more legs, and then we were on the steps, and from there, Eros above me, I could finally see everything. It was all moving, changing too quickly for young eyes to take it all in. And so what I took away was an impression, nothing more. It stayed with me forever.
